The two times champions Kolkata Knight Riders and one time Champion Sunrisers Hyderabad will play their first game of this season’s IPL at M A Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai tonight. The match will be live streamed from 7:30 PM IST.

Prior to this game, Kolkata Knight Riders have clashed with Sunrisers Hyderabad on 19 occasions. Kolkata has won 12 games while Hyderabad has been able to win only 7 games.

Last time when the two teams met was in 2020 in UAE. Kolkata comfortably won the match by 7 wickets thanks to the heroics of Shubham Gill.

Among the wicketkeepers from both the teams, Jonny Bairstow will be the best preferred as compared to rest. England’s Flamboyant batsman Johnny Bairstow will be looking to prove his mantle again in the league. Last season he averaged over 36 runs per game.

Dinesh Karthik gave away his captaincy to Eoin Morgan in last IPL season. Karthik is considered to be one of the lethal batsmen in the shorter format of the game, Karthik will be aiming to spend a bit more time at the crease and convert steady starts into big scores.

Wriddhiman Saha played only 4 matches for his team. But he played some amazing knocks for SRH in the last edition in UAE. Saha brings with him a wealth of experience.

SRH vs KKR Dream11 Team Predictions : Batsman

SRH has a very strong top order but there are some gaps to fill and finding the right balance can take time. One of the most destructive openers across formats, David Warner will be leading the pack. He had an average season in 2020.

Manish Pandey is a right-handed floating batsman, who is adaptable across the top- and middle-order in terms of batting. 

Kane Williamson is a key player in the SRH’s lineup. He will be playing the holding role in the side. The batting line up will be rotating around him. New recruit Kedar Jadhav will provide additional Indian option in the side.

England’s limited over captain Eoin Morgan will play his first season as full-time captain of an IPL. He would be looking forward to lead his team by example this season.

KKR’s talented and elegant opener Shubhamn Gill will be looking to add firepower in his batting this season and support from Rahul Tripathi at the top.

Kolkata Knight Riders batsman Nitish Rana joined his teammates at the practice session after his test reports returned negative for the second successive day.

All rounders from both the teams haven’t been impressive at all. Vijay Shankar made a come back in Playing XI of SRH in last two matches but in both the matches he failed and could deliver a total of 28 Dream11 points in two matches.

As a Dream11 all-rounder for this match, Andre Russell can only be a good choice. However, even he has not been impressive in IPL 2020 season.

Abhishek Sharma was dropped from Playing XI of SRH in last match. Mohammad Nabi have played only one match and is unlikely to be part of Playing XI.

The presence of a fit Bhuvneshwar Kumar will boost the bowling lineup of SRH. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is one of the most successful bowlers in the IPL history. He missed chunk of the season last year.

Rashid Khan is still best spinner of Sunrisers Hyderabad. He would be looking to improve his performance this year.

The Indian pace contingent consisting of T Natarajan and Sandeep Sharma have been threatening at times but have looked too casual on some occasions in last season. 

World number No. 1 test bowler and costliest buy of 2020 auction Pat Cummins will be looking to Cummins will lead this pace attack. He has superb last season where he went onto take 12 wickets in 14 games. He can be extremely pacey and can swing it away from the right handers as well. He is in prime form.

Shivam Mavi or P Krishna will be teaming up with him along with Kamlesh Nagarkoti in the middle overs.

Varun Chakraborty showed his mettle last season. Kuldeep Yadav’s form is the biggest headache for KKR.
