Miami Heat vs Atlanta Hawks Odds and Prediction: Match Preview

Miami Heat the Eastern Conference winners of the 2019 NBA season, showed everyone last year that 2020 wasn’t a bubble fluke when they conquered a playoff berth in the 2021 season. But Sadly Giannis had other plans for them as he took his revenge of the 2020 season, Heat was wiped out by the Bucks in the 1st round of the 2021 playoffs.

This year Heat are in for redemption. The new Miami Heat team, with the addition of Veteran Kyle Lowry whom they acquired from the Toronto Raptors earlier during the trade window, has given the organization a chance of contention for the NBA title. The Trio of Jimmy, Bam, and Kyle is going to be dangerous and we can see another Big 3 in Miami.

The preseason for Heat has been all positive as they have won their 4 games defeating the Hawks, Rockets, Spurs, and Hornets. They want to make this a 5-0 perfect run as they face the Hawks again. With the absence of Jimmy Buttler in the preseason, under the leadership of Bam Adebayo, the Heat has performed as an oiled-up machine, winning their last match-up against Charlotte Hornets, 104-103.

It was an all-round team effort with contributions from Kyle Lowry 15 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds, Bam Adebayo 18 points, 1 assist, 3 rebounds, and Duncan Robinson 12 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds. The Miami Heat went on a 13-0 run at the end of the game.

On the other hand, Atlanta Hawks haven’t had the best of the starts. In last year’s playoffs, Atlanta played on another level. Led by their young All-star Trae Young they outperformed the New York Knicks in the 1st round of playoffs and also defeated the Philadelphia 76ers in a must-watch 7 game series. They managed to get past them in the 2nd round but failed against a determined Giannis and his Bucks.

Atlanta couldn’t conquer the Bucks and lost in the 2021 Eastern Conference finals. Seeing Trae Young so efficiently at such young age shows us the talent that this league has. With the absence of Trae Young, these preseason Hawks are surely struggling.

Till now they have won only 1 match in the preseason against the Memphis Grizzlies and are 2-1. They are in hopes of changing this as they face Miami next. Their last win against the Grizzlies came up due to the effort of Brandon Clarke who managed to get 16 points, 3 assists, 6 rebounds along with Desmond Bane who got 18 points, 2 assists, 3 rebounds with the final scoreline being 91-87. In their Last matchup, the Hawks were obliterated by Kyle Lowry and the Heat by 26 points as Miami won the game 125-99. Hawks want to end their preseason with a win.
