The UEFA Nations League is an international tournament played between the nations between UEFA members once in two years. With the 2nd edition concluding in 2021, another season is the beckoning. The 3rd edition of the prestigious league is set to commence on 1st June 2022 and is expected to finish in March, next year followed by Relegation layouts.

The 2020-21 edition was closely fought just like in the first season as European sides pushed one another to the limit. Group A saw teams like Spain, Italy, Belgium and France run away as the group winners of their respective buckets while Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary and Wales got promoted to Group A. The 2022 edition also has 55 teams being divided into 4 groups with Groups A, B and C having 16 teams apiece whereas Group D will have 7 teams. Every team in the first three groups are going to play 6 matches each while teams in Group D are to play in four matches only. Only League A teams compete for the final glory with the teams belonging to other groups looking to get promoted for the next edition.

Coming to the seedings for the 3rd season, it was pretty obvious that France would be the top seed here as the defending champions. The seedings and the fixtures were announced in September 2021 in Moldova. The French team has been given a moderate draw with Denmark, Croatia and Austria up against them but the A2 group has a greater potential of causing a surprise with Spain, Portugal and Switzerland in the fray.

As much exciting as the first two groups get, the limelight is stolen by A3 with Italy, Germany and England having a straight tussle, paving way for some exciting contests. The last group A4 has Belgium as starting as the favourites to make it to the semis while the Netherlands are desperate of making some mark this time around.
