Tottenham vs Norwich Prediction and Odds: Preview
Spurs returned to winning ways following their shock loss against NS Mura in the Europa Conference League. But they didn’t get carried away and had a rather comfortable victory against the Bees as Sergi Canos own goal and Heung-min Son’s goal secured the all important three points for the North Londoners.
Conte has seemingly changed the whole side as they are currently unbeaten in the last three matches in the Premier League.
It’s too early to predict anything but the Italian does have an envious CV guiding both Chelsea and Inter Milan to League titles and he at least could secure a Champions League spot for the North London giants.
Norwich could prove to be an easy fixture for Spurs as the Canaries are still struggling to get themselves out from the relegation zone.
They had a golden chance in the last match as Newcastle defender Ciaran Clark got the marching order at the stroke of 9 minutes.
Dean Smith’s side couldn’t pile up pressure despite having a man extra on the pitch. The Magpies fought hard and Callum Wilson scored from the spot to provide the home side with an edge.
Teemu Pukki salvaged a point for the away side as Norwich remain submerged in the bottom zone.
Smith’s arrival has laid a platform for them as they are unbeaten in the last three matches and have climbed up to 19th place. However, they are still three points adrift of the relegation zone and a win against Spurs could spark a brightness.
Their concerning form in the last game could force Smith to ponder some changes and their tendency to concede silly goals needs to be changed.
They have already leaked 17 goals away from home and they need to work on it. Norwich dominated the Championship last season but have not been able to replicate their performance on the pitch so far.
Perhaps the absence of Oliver Skipp in the middle of the pitch might be the reason for their downfall. The Spurs midfielder spent the season on loan and helped them in achieving the promotion.
Skipp has been a regular this season and is expected to start against Norwich in the next game. Top four is still within the reach and another convincing performance could set the tone for them.
They also have a game in hand and Conte is likely to name an unchanged eleven. Spurs have won the last three home games against Norwich in the Premier League and the next match should be a walk in the park.
Norwich’s first victory did arrive in London against Brentford and they will try to inflict some damage on the Londoners. Milot Rashica is suffering from a groin problem and will be not available for this match.
Todd Cantwell is fit for this match but Dean Smith won’t have the service of Mathias Normann.
For Spurs, both Giovani Lo Celso and Cristian Romero are out of contention for this game.
