Arsenal vs Chelsea Prediction and Betting Odds: Strong Chelsea To Win?

Chelsea is predicted to win the upcoming game as per Arsenal vs Chelsea Prediction and Betting Odds.

The Premier League 2021-22 Matchday 1 was as entertaining as football can get. The first and the last game of weekend 1 ended in an upset. Arsenal lost 2-0 to newly-promoted Brentford. While Pep Guardiola’s 500M pounds starting XI fell short in front of the Harry Kane-deficit Tottenham Hotspurs. Manchester United, Chelsea, and Liverpool are currently the top three sides in the Premier League 2021-22 points table.

Mikel Arteta will be up against Thomas Tuchel’s European winners in their upcoming Premier League fixture. Arsenal will host their London neighbors Chelsea on Sunday, August 22nd at Emirates Stadium. Chelsea have ripped their squad with the addition of Romelu Lukaku.

Tuchel will be optimistic to face the incapacitated Arsenal side. Nevertheless, Arteta likes to shock the top 6 sides, and this time, he will surely be hoping for a miracle with the clock running out of time for him.

Arsenal vs Chelsea Prediction And Betting Odds: Preview

Interestingly, Arsenal haven’t lost to Chelsea in their last 4 outings. The Gunners have won three back-to-back games against the Blues. The last time Arsenal met Chelsea, the match ended in the favour of Arteta’s side.

Thomas Tuchel won’t take his recent glories for granted and will be well prepared for the uncertain Reds of London. However, Tuchel hinted at the return of N’Golo Kante for the Arsenal’s game. The German boss also spoke about Romelu Lukaku.

Chelsea Football Club, Lukaku Interview

As for the Gunners, they will be hoping their marksmen Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette to return for the Chelsea fixture. Both the strikers were missing from the Brentford clash.

Thomas Tuchel’s post-match interview:

“N’Golo felt discomfort in his ankle in the warm-up for the Super Cup match with Villarreal,” Tuchel said. “He played a little bit with pain and overcame that pain. “Yesterday (Friday), he felt pain and we took this match to take responsibility to take him out and not take risks at this stage of the season.”

“I think N’Golo will be back in the middle of the week to be ready for Arsenal. Ruben has, unfortunately, had a positive test on Thursday. He is in isolation and following the protocol and that’s why he isn’t in the team. “Romelu is out of quarantine [on Sunday] and in training on Tuesday as Monday is a day off. We will prepare him to be ready for Arsenal. Hopefully, he can be on the pitch.”

Mikel Arteta’s presser:

Speaking to Sky Sports in the build-up to the clash with Brentford, Arteta said: “They feel unwell, that’s all I can say. It is [a big miss] but in a world, we live in I think the only permanent thing now change instead of seeking for excuses, we’re seeking for solutions.”
